Description
4-day ADEX exam Onsite Training will cover the Prosthodontic, Operative, and Endodontic portions of the Licensing exam. The difference between the 4-day and 6-day sessions is that students registered for the 6-day session will get 2 extra full days of hands-on practice under the direct supervision of Dr. Shalini Thasma.
Restorative portion of the licensing exam requires :
- Class II Composite preparation and Restoration on mandibular molar or premolar
- Direct Anterior Class III Composite Preparation and Restoration
Endodontics is a required section and will be completed on simulated teeth. Universal precautions and a rubber dam are required for all Endodontic treatment. Required Endodontic procedures:
• Anterior–Graded on Access and Obturation
• Posterior– Graded on Access only
Please be advised that all Restorative, Prosthodontic, and Endodontic procedures will be performed on Kilgore Typodont, Kilgore Teeth, and Kilgore Endodontic Teeth.
The Prosthodontic Section consists of simulated preparation of two abutments (#3 and #5 Zirconia) to support a posterior three-unit fixed partial denture prosthesis and preparation of an anterior tooth (#8) for a full-coverage ceramic crown.
Periodontics is NOT covered in this program.
